Welcome to the UW School of Nursing! The SoN IT Service Desk is here to provide the support and tools you need to get started.

New Employee Duties
1. Complete Onboarding Form
- Complete the onboarding form if your supervisor has not completed it.
- Schedule an appointment with an IT Technician for onboarding guidance.
2. File a Computer Request
- Complete the Computer & Equipment Request Form.
- All SoN devices automatically have standard software (UW NetID Required) installed during imaging.
- For additional necessary software not listed, please complete the Software Request form to ensure it is installed.
- Arrange a time to pick up your computer and equipment with the SoN IT Service Desk.Complete the Computer & Equipment Request Form.

- SoN IT highly recommends all new employees sign up for:
3. Pick Up Equipment from SoN IT
- Please contact the SoN IT service desk to coordinate an equipment pick-up time.
- For contactless drop-off using the Tech Lockers, please call the service desk to schedule a pick-up appointment and provide the date and time you will be accessing the lockers.
- As a new employee, before leaving campus log into your device to ensure it works properly.
Supervisor Duties
1. Notify of New Hire & Complete Onboarding Form
- Complete the onboarding form to ensure the equipment is ordered and ready by the New Hire’s start date.
2.Provide Access to Team Services
- Ensure the new hire has access to team services, which may include but are not limited to MS Teams, UW Groups, and mailman lists (UW NetID Required for two services).

A: No, to ensure security and compliance with university policies, only UW-owned devices may used for work purposes.
