Husky OnNet
Husky OnNet is a free individual VPN (Virtual Private Network) service that provides a secure connection to the UW network from remote locations, such as from home, a coffee shop, at the airport, etc. Husky OnNet lets you remotely connect to resources that are normally only accessible from the UW network, such as teaching and learning tools, research databases, and departmental servers.
Husky OnNet is the branded name of the UW VPN service provided by UW-IT. The underlying technology is from F5 Networks; the apps are called F5 BIG-IP Edge client applications.

Q: I can’t find Husky OnNet on my laptop?
A: On laptops, Husky OnNet is labeled as “Big IP Edge Client.” Look for an icon with a red circle and the letters “F5” – that’s Husky OnNet.
