Q: Can I use the R and K drives for research purposes?
A: Although possible, we recommend using the R Drive primarily for research work rather than the K drive. Compared to the K drive, which is more generalized, the R drive is expressly set up as a tool to aid those storing their research data and collaboration.
Q: Can I add others outside of the UW SoN to the R Drive to collaborate with?
A: No. In order to maintain privacy and security, we ask that only those within the SoN have access to the R Drive.
Q: How do I share files with people outside of the UW SoN?
A: Please utilize SharePoint to collaborate with others outside of the UW, learn more about SharePoint and contact the SoN IT Service Desk for further help.
