The School of Nursing provides two distinct services as part of its Central Printing solution, tailored to meet the printing needs of faculty and staff: Network Printers and SecurePrint Supported Printers. Both options ensure quick, efficient, and secure access to printing across the school, depending on your specific needs. Both are centralized options.

1. Network Printers
Network Printers provide convenient, nearby printing to specific printers within the School of Nursing, with no authentication required. Located in office suites and shared areas.
Features

Immediate Printing: As long as there is no queue, your document prints instantly without delay, making it ideal for quick, one-off jobs.

No Authentication Required: There is no need to scan a badge or enter credentials.

Shared Printers: Printers are strategically located in shared areas, such as office suites, for easy access.
Getting Started with Network Printers

2. SecurePrint Printers
SecurePrint Supported Printers provide enhanced security by requiring users to authenticate their print jobs before release. This service is available on six multifunction copiers throughout the School of Nursing, ensuring confidential and secure printing.
Features
- Secure Printing: Users must authenticate by scanning their Husky Card or inputting NetID credentials to release print jobs.
- Flexible Retrieval: Print jobs are sent to the “SecurePrint” shared queue and can be retrieved from any of the six supported copiers located on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th floors, as well as in the F-Wing.
- Automatic Setup: The SecurePrint queue is automatically installed on all School of Nursing computers, making it easy to send print jobs.

Q: My print job is not printing at the printer I selected?
A: : First, check the print queue to ensure your job is next in line. If it’s not in the queue and there’s no printout, it’s possible someone may have taken your document by mistake.
Q: Why does my computer say the printer is offline when I try to print?
A: The computer shows the printer as offline because all print jobs are routed through the SoN SecurePrint system. To print, send your job to the SoN SecurePrint device. Then, simply tap your Husky card on any designated copier to retrieve your print job.
